December 17, 2024 At VU Šiauliai Academy, a meeting was held to discuss the Cherry Servers UAB 1000 Eur scholarship, where students of the 1st year Program Systems shared their experiences and expectations for university studies.
A commission of business and VU Šiauliai Academy representatives participated in the consideration of this scholarship: Vaidas Rutkauskas, director of Cherry Servers UAB, Marius Žalinauskas, technology director of Cherry Servers UAB, Dovilė Minkevičienė, customer service manager of Cherry Servers UAB, director of the Regional Development Institute of Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy Assoc. Dr. Lina Garšviene.
At the initial stage, as many as 7 first-year Program Systems students applying for a 1000 EUR scholarship submitted motivational letters: Mantas Skirius, Paulius Jurgaitis, Aironas Vitkauskas, Dijus Čepauskas, Kristupas Vinckevičius, Andrzej Kazlauskas and Rokas Jakubauskas. Only four of them were invited for an interview with business representatives. The students had to discuss - share their thoughts about their personal experience at the gymnasium and tell how they are doing with their studies at VU Šiauliai Academy. Discussed plans for choosing one of the proposed specializations - Electronic Services; Robotic systems.
VU Šiauliai Academy's Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Program Systems is attracting an increasing number of talented and strong students, who also qualify for the Ministry of Economy and Innovation's targeted scholarships of 200 EUR / month, which are available only at certain research institutions, including VU Šiauliai Academy.
According to Vaidas Rutkauskas, Director of UAB Cherry Servers, the jury had a difficult task in choosing the winner, as all candidates were highly motivated and talented.
