Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy took part in the festivities. The community of the Academy - students, staff, lecturers and management - took part in the festive procession of the city.

Around fifty members of the VU Šiauliai Academy community dressed up in Vilnius University attributes and marched in a festive mood together with other participants of the parade along the streets of Tilžės and Aušros Avenue all the way to the Central City Park.

 

There, a festive concert entertained the citizens. The Botanical Garden of VU Šiauliai Academy also celebrated the city's birthday and invited citizens and visitors to its stand on the city boulevard throughout the day. There you could taste teas made by the garden, choose the most beautiful sunflower for the City of the Sun, or take part in an educational session about scents.
