On 11 November, Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy received a special gift - the largest coin replica in Lithuania, created by Vilnius Puronas.

It is a sculpture of a 145-centimeter coin, which replicates the 1-cent coin created by Lithuanian sculptor and jeweler Victor David Brener and minted in the USA in 1909. This coin was reproduced and sculpted by designer Vilius Puronas and sculptor Vytautas Tallat-Kelpšą. The decision to place this unique work of art in the courtyard of the Šiauliai Academy of Vilnius University was no coincidence.

It is in the Information Centre of the Šiauliai Academy of Vilnius University Library that the Lithuanian cents room is located, and an exhibition of the US cent collection is being prepared, which was assembled by Lithuanian-Americans, encouraged by Lithuanian Danutė Mačernienė when they heard about the sculpture.

Like a real coin, the sculpture at the VU Šiauliai Academy has two sides.
