Students in the Master's programme "Natural Systems Management" are actively involved from the very first day of their studies.

The modern methodology involves an intensive combination of theory and practice, both inside and outside the classroom. Taking advantage of the favourable natural conditions, lecturers organise classes not only in the traditional space of the university, but also in natural ecosystems and in the Šiauliai Academy's botanical garden. This gives students the opportunity to learn about ecological processes in a real-life environment, not just from textbooks or theoretical lectures.

Studying in a professional ecology environment adds significant value to students' preparation for their future careers. Such an environment not only allows the consolidation of theoretical knowledge, but also the development of practical skills needed to manage natural systems. Students can immediately test the growth of their skills by solving real ecological problems, which provides valuable experience and increases their confidence in their competences. In addition, lecturers find that this methodology helps to 'erase' barriers in an international group of students, as the outdoor activities lead to faster cooperation. Whether the students come from Lithuania or abroad, they make friends more easily, share experiences and knowledge, thus strengthening intercultural cooperation.
