Students from Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy have won the second prize at the Travel Tech Hackathon in Vilnius.
The competition is open to all people involved in information technology - students, professionals and even tourism enthusiasts. The main task of the hackathon was to create a way to revolutionise and change the Lithuanian tourism sector.

Anthony Morha, Nikhil Senthil Kumar, Alex Bulganin and Batuhan Bulancak, first and third year students of the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Software Engineering at VU Šiauliai Academy, teamed up to create a website and a mobile app called Travel Swift, which is aimed at helping tourists to discover Lithuania, to build itineraries, to get all the information they need 24/7.

The app is only a demo version, but the concept was highly appreciated and the student team won second place. They were awarded a cash prize of €1000.
