In the STEAM center of VU Šiauliai Academy (VU ŠA), an exclusive, pixelated green card was lit.

As the festive period approached, the steam center team decided that this year's holidays should be approached creatively and make an LED Christmas tree using STEAM educational methods based on the creative promotion of schoolchildren's education. During the implementation of this project, the steam center team was helped by volunteers participating in the STEAM plus scheme, which Šiauliai City Municipality funds.

The interactive Christmas tree consists of 760 LED bulbs, a large team of center and volunteers soldered for about 300-400 hours. The frame of the entire Christmas tree is cut out of plywood with laser machines in the STEAM center.

The Christmas tree light dance can be programmed with your phone. This spruce is like a pixel matrix, so in the future, it is planned to improve it by programming it so that it can be used to represent images in GIF or video formats.
